Best Value For An Injector?

Recommended Posts

OK, so, I will start out by saying that I have 2 of Bear's Small Injectors. I am thinking about getting a larger injector, and I am considering the following:

Basstackle 6oz. Injector

Del-Mart 6oz. Injector

Bear's 5oz. Injector

I really do not care about how the tips are removed. What I would like to know, are some opinions on which one of the above is the best "bang" for the buck. To me, the best value would include shipping costs as well as shipping time. I do not want to have to wait 2-3 weeks for an injector to ship, but I don't want to pay a small fortune for next day air, etc.

Thank you in advance for your opinions and input.

I have the basstackle 6oz, its pretty nice. Not as smooth as bears, but it gets the job done. I still managed to pop a tip off into a pot of plastic, even with the locking pin LOL

I didnt get mine from basstackle though, so i dont know how long it takes to ship.. if its like molds, it will be shipped the next day or the day after.

X2 next to Bear's, Kevin has superior customer service & quality products! HaHa that's funny somehow (duh) I've popped my tip off into the cup even with the pin

I say, Go Big or Go Home. :D

I use a 16 oz one from Autozone for $13.00 that I converted for a few cents. I shoot a lot of molds with this one and the nozzle screws on too. Have not had one bit of trouble with it in 6 months of use.

(Yes, I have had a few of Bear's injectors and a BT's injector, but this one for the money and size is the best.)

How did you adapt it?

Does it fit the standard molds/blending blocks?/quote]

I took the nozzle lid off and took it to home depot and found washers that fit over the tip to basically shorten the amount of tip going into the mold. (I did not want to cut it because I didn't want to rish messing up the tip, plus had it not worked out, then I could have used it for what it was made for.) I epoxied 2 of them together and then onto the tip. I then bought some of these below and epoxied one of them over the tip to create a nice seal onto the mold. I had to make the hole bigger to go over the tip. It is not affected by the heat of the plastic. Yes, it has worked on all my molds from different makers. I understand it works on blending blocks, but I don't have any. It is my understanding that Kevin at BT will make a blending block with the proper width to use two of these on his, not sure about Bear. Anyway, I hope that helps!
