Paxamus
Hey guys, I am using a heat gun to powder paint my jigs, but when I use it in the basement, I set off my smoke alarms. They are not smoking but I keep setting it off, anyone else have this problem or any cheap solutions (don't want to install and exhaust fan)?? Thanks Paxamus

Do you have something else that has dripped inside the heat gun? Try running it by itself without heating a jig.
Paxamus
I'll try it without anything, just don't want to wake the newborn in our house. My smoke alarms are all wired together so when one goes, all goes.

schmink
Are you aiming the heat gun towards your alarm?
