Frchkn
Is this something already on the market? Can you pencil a sketch of what you want and post it? And I realize it depends on the price of whoever makes them, but how many do you think will buy at one time. I don't think it's on the market thats why I came here. I basically want something like a yamamoto grub. I want the 3 inch body with a 5 inch curly tail.. I would like about 10 to start and if the product is to my liking I would order more. There are several mold manufacturers that have very nice 5" Fat body Grubs. Maybe you need to post a picture? No one can give you an price on 10 count. it costs money and time to just get you a Black/Red flake that you would like. Yamamoto has these in stock, that might be the best place for you. Now if you want at least 100 count? let`s see a picture. There are money great pourers on this forum that can make what you want. Custom work always feels better, when it is your making. BBK
Well lets see, if you are looking for a 3" body and a 5" curl tail you are looking at a custom mold. Now I'm sure someone could do it with POP or RTV but if you want them to look professional you would have to get a custom mold done. with the cost of the mold and the cost of the plastic/time involved, you are looking at $150 or more for those 10 grubs. Now bear in mind the bulk of that would be for the custom mold, and after the mold was payed off each grub would be considerably less. And you would have to pay the custom mold cost up front, whether you like the final product or not. Edited April 13, 2011 by BBK
Musky Glenn
Eight inch grubs are pretty standard in the musky world. Try www.muskyshop.com. Don't know if they have that color or not, but 8" grubs are listed in their catalogue . Action Plastics "magnum Grubs" are priced at $.99 each. FuzzyGrub
For your 10 prototypes, you might want to consider this: - Buy off the shelf U-tail worms with tails that meet your length - Cut the head off at your 3" requirement. - Dip head in plastic and cool, until you have enough layers for the grub body you want. Frchkn
Reason I asked was I was wondering if he wanted something like one of those super heavyweight saltwater grubs from Kalins. Well if that body length and tail length are a huge deal I just want a nice tail on them kind of like these. http://www.basspro.com/Offshore-Angler-Swirl-Tail-Grubs/product/8369/-862904#reviews But I want black body with a white tail.. The red flake is not a must. I thought it would be easy to throw some glitter in some plastic my bad.
powerworm
as long as you wouldnt mind a flat side because the fish wont mind if it was me i would make a rtv mold then i could make myself whatever color combination i wanted...and glitter is not aq big deal at all!! the bad thing about taking a black bait and dipping it in like what you want white it will take more than 1 dip and then you might not get the action you are wanting without making yourself a mold and buying a few colors you know you use and trust a little bit of plastic a quart will make a boat load of grubs even the 6" k style grubs and something to heat your plastic with say a garage sale microwave and you can be on your way!! Frchkn
I don't want flat sides.. I don't want to purchase molds, plastic and die to make them. Just looking for someone to pour me some worms.. Thought this would be the place!

Just looking for someone to pour me some worms.. Thought this would be the place! What is driving the mold question is the non-stadard grub of 3" body plus 6" tail. Getting a standard grub made with black/red flake body and a white tail is very do-able. If you wanted a U-tail worm (and pinch off nose) with those colors to get closer to that size, they are common molds.
