Senko Issues

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, to start off, I've been pouring for awhile but recently decided to make my own Senko's. I am pouring Basstackle's 4 inch and 5 inch 2 part molds. I am using Lurecraft super soft and I am using 1/4 cup softener, and 1/2 cup salt per 1 cup of plastic. As for the salt, I am using regular table salt which is probably a no no. When I use the regular salt, the salt tends to sink very fast regardless of how often I stir. So I have started to flour my salt using a blender. This definitely makes the salt suspend better but really makes the color cloudy. I have made several batches and have yet to make a color that I'm happy with. Colorwise, how do you guys deal with overcoming the milky factor the salt gives the bait? I'm wondering how you guys are doing it. Even a simple color like Yamamoto watermelon is giving me issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Lost Senko pourer in CA! :)
