Fish Shaped Trolling Sinkers

Recommended Posts

Hi guys great site. I am looking for a mold to pour fish shaped trolling sinkers. The only thing i can find is the shad jigging spoon mold from do it, but it only goes to 1.5 oz. Is any one making a fish shaped trolling sinker mold? I have searched the web with no luck.

The do-it Ultra Minnow mold could easily be altered to make a fish shaped trolling sinker. The largest size is 4 oz. You can also alter available sinkers or just paint them to make them more fish like.

Bondo molds are not hard to make. Just need a master. They do not seem to last a lot of pours but it is cheap to make several. This week we have been pouring some 3 1/2 and 7 oz jigs. It seems we can not get more than about a hundred done without the mold beginning to crack. The molds never seemed to get that hot on the outside but on the inside they will crack and any bubbles will pop creating void. I would think the process would work well for trolling sinkers if you are not trying to make hundreds.
