powerworm
are you using salt as well in your recipe? that is why the tails look translucent not the actual coloring of the bait. adam that looks more brown than green pumpkin on my monitor instead of dark purple might just be this monitor though?? I see it in that picture (in the tail) as well. Looking at the rest of the bait leads me towards that Black Grape, cuz my monitor is making that bait look kinda purple...maybe it's me and my eyes. Marks Lures
Try Pumpkin seed (base brownish) Green Pumpkin Dirty up with a bit of red and blue. Really looks like a dark Coca-Cola / Root Beer Color. Purple looks like it might be from the blue electronic water color on the picture (mixing with the red). Or maybe amber red and a bunch of black. It is all really guessing until you actually have an in-hand color to copy. Hope I provided some ideas to get you there. Mark
nova
I'm thinking that this bait is double-dipped. First in the the color you see at the tail and then in the purplish color as an overcoat. I might be wrong though. www.novalures.com Edited April 28, 2011 by nova

I'd just do up your Green Pumpkin, and then dip it in a smoke and call it good....
