Low Pressure Molding

Just wandering if anybody else has looked into one of these units Im thinking about giving it a try as soon as they give me a price quote.

Its made to shoot moltent plastics and adhesives.Has an adjustable heating system and is air powered. Its a company out of AU.

The specs state that the injection pressure is 1.5 - 5.5 bar. This is 22 - 80 psi in real numbers. I guess it depends on your definition of low pressure. I define low pressure as something that is not going to rip my arm off if something goes wrong.

The unit looks solid enough, but I could not view the downloaded video (problem with my computer) and I could not find anything on youtube. The temperature range (max 250C) looks right, but you are going to be limited to one color.

It would be good if you could try it out for your application before parting with your cash, if you cannot find anyone with experience of the unit.

That seem pretty cool. After watching the video, it apprears that it might mot be siuted for soft plastics. It might work well for injecting a lead mold or a two piece soft plastic mold wirh hard plastic to make modification and add detail to produce a hard master.
