Nightprowler64
Does anybody have any experience in creating your own "vein style paint"? I’m wondering what ingredient makes it separate the way it does. Thanks for any help. Edited May 26, 2011 by Nightprowler64
RayburnGuy
Are you talking about crackle paint? If so there have been several posts about it. Here's a couple. http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/21754-crackle-finish/page__p__162045__hl__crackle__fromsearch__1#entry162045 http://www.tackleunderground.com/community/topic/20855-best-way-to-crackle-paint/page__p__155640__hl__crackle__fromsearch__1#entry155640
Nightprowler64
Actually something in the powder paint version for jigs like this ---> http://fishingskirts.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=94&products_id=
nedyarb
I have been able to achieve that look, but not on a consistant basis. I simply heat and dip the jig in powder. Then quickly flick the tip of a small cheap paint brush that has been dipped in the second color. It will generally create that look.
