Hi everyone I am new to pouring bait and I stumbled upon this site. It has answered many of my questions but I still have plenty more. There are already threads about a few of my question but i need them answered in "english" as everyone seems so advanced. I also read that I sould not be afraid to ask questions so here I go:

1. I have found some mold stores online but can someone give me a good size list of all they know?

2. I would like to make 1 and 2 color molds what kind of injector would you buy?

3. Adding salts and sents? HOW do you do it the right way? Do you need to add this softner stuff?

I have many more questions coming I just cant think of them right now.

Thanks for your time and tigh lines

Spencer

1. What do you want to make?

2. You can do this with a twin injector, hand poured with a split cup, or even by filling half the mold and then pouring the other half all by hand pouring.

3 If you want salt it needs to be very very fine, as for softner how soft do you want your lures?

These are all good questions and there could be whole pages wrote just to answer each one. Im sure somebody else will chime in and help. Welcome to the sickness!

there is Bears Baits BassTackle LureCraft Kmolds [/url]Del Mart Caney Creek Molds Snake Head

the first 3 will give you the absolute BEST customer service

for the injector, i would get Bear's Baits medium injectors (2 of them) and the blending block or Bass Tackle's Twinjector. they will facilitate 1 and 2 colour baits with injection molds.

salt and scents, i add slowly once the plastic is ready to pour. softener is only needed if you need your finished baits to be softer. i only use it with stick (senko) type baits when adding ridiculous amounts of salt.

i hope that answers your questions

All of the mold makers mentioned before are good mold makers. The one that was called snakehead is actually Jacobs baits and has great customer service also and is a pleasure to work with. If customer service is an issue they will all take care of you good. For doing two colors Basstackle Twinjector is real easy to use and will break down into two single injectors with ease. I have a few videos in the tutorial section using this if you want to see it in action before you buy. Free shipping from him is a real plus on orders over 39 bucks. Most of them actually make there own products so you are getting them from the actuall maker which is nice. Take you time and research well, you will be rewarded for the time you spend. Frank
