PABassBoy
Is it legal to make a mold of a bait that is already out on the market? Im looking at the "Kicker Kraw" made byKicker Fish Baits.
Vodkaman
The bait does not appear to have a patent on it. Nothing quoted on the web site and a patentsonline search did not show anything similar. Searches: 'kicker craw' = zero results, 'craw bait' = 22 results, but none applicable. Of course, they could have an application in that does not show up yet, so you could still find yourself in future trouble. The 'KICKER CRAW' name is trade marked, so you will have to name your bait something else. You are going to a lot of trouble to re-design someone elses lure, why not design your own. Everything in this post is just my opinion. If you want a more trusted and secure ruling, you should go to a patent lawyer. Dave
gone2long
make whatever you want just don't sell, post or provide photo's, fish them yourself and the platics police won't be over your shoulder it's when you try and profit that things will get sticky.
