I have been reading the forums and want to start pouring or injecting my own baits. I have new clue where to start for buying stuff like types of plastics and what molds are good for starting I was hoping this site would help me. Any reies would be greatly appreciated!

i would start out injecting, even a cave man can do it. look for molds that are close to the baits you use. and if you don`t like it injection molds sell eaiser. you need a micro wave and pirex cups. may want to go to bears baits.com. folks will help you there. or any questions pm me. i helped a lot of people get started.

I noticed bears baits had a starter kit is it worth it to go this route or buy separate?

i never bought a starter kit but a lot of guys do, i started with open pour rtv molds from lc.

join bears site and ask. good luck.

My suggestion is to look at molds on various sites like Lure Craft, Jann's Netcraft, Dels, Bears, Barlow's, etc. Pick one or two molds that you like and buy them. Buy a few bottles of colors and glitter along with a gallon of plastisol and some heat stabilizer.

Get yourself a cheap microwave and some pyrex cups and give it a whirl. If you like it you can spend the big bucks later for injectors and molds. You can get in for $50 or less depending on what you choose. My first order from Bear's with injectors and a couple of molds was a bit over $300.
