vapermedic
I've been using M-F's super soft plastic for the last few years and love it. I ordered 5 gallons recently and it seems like it's different. While heating and going through the "jelly" phase it seems much thicker and not nearly as viscous as it used to. The end products are not nearly as soft and the plastic seems different. Is it possible I got a mislabeled 5 gallons of the regular or saltwater stuff? Has anyone else noticed a difference? Did I miss a change awhile ago ( previous 5 gallons was from last year) and am just late?
Pitbull Baits
You may want to email them or call to see. Did you get it from M-F or one of the places selling it?
gcl58
send them a sample of your plastic that you just recieved, (ask them how much of a sample) and if you have any left from the previous 5-gallons, send them a sample of that, they can tell you whats going on, and if they messed your purchase up they will correct it. been there done that. i put large ball bearings in my 5-gallon containers to collect any settling for remixing
vapermedic
Just a follow-up.... I hadn't ordered directly from M-F and it seems I was mistakenly given the regular instead of the supersoft. I mixed some up using the ratio of softner to plastic provided to me from the folks at M-F and it fixed the issue. My hats off to the guys at M-F...even though I didn't buy direct from them they were more than willing to help solve the problem.

carolinamike
If I'm not mistaken I heard a while back that they might have changed their plastic supplier or component supplier. Don't quote me on it, but I thought someone told me this not too long ago. Glad to hear MF helped you with your problem. MF and all the other plastic suppliers out there are all usually willing to help when you have a problem, you just need to communicate personally with them. I don't think there's a company out there that if you're just not totally satisfied with a product, that if you ask they would be glad to give you a refund or replace the product.
