mark poulson
I'm trying to figure out what to add to plain green to get watermelon. I use Bear's, Del's, and LC colors, but I'm thinking it really doesn't matter which brand. I guess what I'm asking is what to add to any green to get watermelon. I'm also wondering how red flake will affect the color? I know it gives an oxblood worm a reddish hue, so does it do the same for watermelon, and do I have to counter that with another color? toadfrog
I think this is right 1/2 cup plastic , 1 drop white , 2 drops black , 6 drops green . Should be in the ball park . If its too dark add more plastic .

BBK
1 cup, 8 drops green, 2 drops pumpkinseed, and 1 or 2 drops of white depending on how you like it. This will get you a brownish green watermelon like Yum's
powerworm
the light refracting off the red flake makes it appear browner than green
mark poulson
Thanks. Sounds like I should do the watermelon without the brown first, add the red flake, and see how that looks. I'll let you guys know how it turns out. I just had my youngest, who has had her learners permit for two weeks, drive us over to her friends house. I need a nap, or a shot! Probably both. Jeff Jeff, I taught my three boys to drive, and my older daughter, so I should be used to this by now. But it never gets any easier. Especially with this child, who is strong willed and stuborn. I wonder where she got that from? She's a careful driver so far, and pays attention, so I am sure she'll make a good driver eventually. I just hope I live to see it. MonteSS
Try adding black grape instead of black. Keeps the color more transparent. ....Bill
