Newb Here, Question About Drop Shot Worms

Recommended Posts

Hi, I just started pouring and bought some 4 inch drop shot molds( del's), and I am wondering how soft they should be. I usually fish saltwater but I want to get into freshwater fishing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would use LC super, super soft as super soft is the same as others "medium" blend. To firm in my opinion for drop shot baits but that is just a personal thing.

Any of the softest varieties will work such as M-F super soft, LC super, super soft, Caney Creek soft, Lureworks soft, Oxark Plastics soft, Chemionics soft, etc....

Alright, thanks for the replies!!! You guys have been helpful. I'm going to pour some and see how I like them. What do you guys recommend for saltwater fishing? Would M-F's Saltwater plastic be good for that? Or should they be soft just like the ones used for freshwater?

I use Calhoun Soft from Bears.
