Magnum Spinnerbaits For Salmon?

Recommended Posts

I just ran across an article describing how many species are caught with spinnerbaits and went on to mention several large fish, Pike, Muskies, etc that are caught on Magnum spinnerbaits. I was wondering if any of you has tried using them for Salmon or big Stripers. I live on a bay in California and want to try them here. The runs are just beginning so I have time. If you have knowledge of using these please post.

Thanks,

Jeff

I have made some lures for that purpose . Not exactly a spinner . They are pony heads with the spinner on the underside . Generally speaking the colors have been White , Chartruese and yellow with varying buck tail tie patterns . The weight is 3/4 , 1 oz. and 1 1/2 oz. ball bearing swivels with willow leaf blades . I don't have any blood grand children but I have several that call me paw . The background pic is a promise kept . Itold her I would show it to hundreds of people.
