basskat
I have several customers who requested red hooks on their baits. They are like me, not convinced it helps. I've bought a bottle of red blade dip and we're trying just dipping the hooks. The hooks look great and the red last as long as the red worm hooks I bought. Here's a little poll (if I can figure out how to do it) to find everyone's opion.
woodsac
My vote could have went either way, but I voted yes for the simple fact that if you have confidence in the red hooks, you'll get bit more! The customers that aren't too sure about it, might not benefit from it.
siebler_custom_baits
seems that if red paint or skirt strands are present it helps. in the salt a lttle north of here the fish actually do hit red more. over all i think it is confidence. Richoc
Front treble on a crank = yes. On a jig still not sure. The red finish on some brands are way tougher that the worm hooks that I have used. Red turns to black when the light level gets low. Walleyes do not see red that well from studies done. But shallow it would shine a red flash .
