MonteSS
I am interested in pouring some 5" stick bait. Is this a bad lure to learn on since salt is needed? I dont have much interest/use for other baits right now. I would get an aluminum 2-part mold and injector. Pyrex in a microwave. What plastic is best for these? I am interested in slightly more durability than softness. I currently use Salty Trick Sticks. I will probably order from Lurecraft. Thanks...Bill
daveh
i been using lc 502 for years. just need to scrap the hard pack of the bottom then shake. i just keep the gallon jug upside down. you also need softener for sticks. a lot of stirring also with salt. may want to get a cheap rtv mold and practice on getting use to your micro wave on how it melts the plastic. i add salt after i melt it.or just jump in with both feet. getting the hang of your micro wave and not scorching plastic is the main learning curve. Bass-Boys
If it were me I would use lure craft 536 for sticks then you will not need to add the softner.
GB GONE
I think it is a good choice if you use those. Using the mic and salt and eveything all at once will make doing other baits easy. I say go for it! Jim
nedyarb
Save your money, and buy Dels 5" top pour stick mold. It is the same size as a GY stick. And you won't need an injector. IMO the injectors work best with multiple molds, but if you only have 1 mold it is a waste of time. Rob
