Big Splash
This one is so easy I don't think I even need a picture. I don't know the name of it, but it is strong, and fast to tie. It works best on hooks, jigs, or less bulky lures, as you must pass a loop all the way around the lure. It will provide a bit of extra security, as the line is doubled up where it passes through the eye. Double the end of the line back on itself about ten inches. Pass the doubled end through the hook eye and push about 6" of doubled line through the eye. Tie an overhand knot, loosely, around the main line, with the doubled end, then take the tag end 'loop' and open it up and pass it all the way over and around the hook. Pull the whole knot to the front of the eye and pull on the two ends slowly using a bit of water, or saliva for lube. Trim the tag end. You should have a neat knot with the line passing through the eye twice for extra strength.
