cheapskate
I am looking for a cheaper way to tint my clear epoxy or polyester resins. What I have found it about 5 dollars per jar per color. I don't need that much. I am still looking to make my first lure. What else can be used. Are there cheaper alternatives to store bought tints. Or are there some cheaper tint sets of tints out there. Brian
Vodkaman
I have used a drop of enamel paint to tint polyester resin. Give it a try on a test piece. DAve
Toxicbaits
I have some small bottles of tints... like .5ozs or something ill have to look.. but i cant remeber if i got em at micheals or ace hardware.. but i think it was a 3 pack for like 8 bucks or something.. the red tint is sick and if you put a light yellow tint over a baby bass pattern.. ooohh boy it looks good! hazmail
Try 'Tamiya' alcohol based paints. Pete
EdL
Rod building guys have used Testor's Model paints. Don't shake the bottle and the color pigment will settle to the bottom. Pour off the top layer leaving pigment. Some use it to do marblizing patterns with epoxy.
