Celticav
OK guys, I have been getting a few requests for another swap. I cannot participate but will be more than happy to host a small one for 5-8 participants if there is enough member interest. the Roster will close at the exact moment that #8 posts that he/she is in...absolutely no exceptions or late additions will be accepted or added to the roster,Shipping will be $6.00 per participant (Outside the U.S. will be $12.00 minimum), the date to ship your package to me will be decided by vote after roster close, each participant's swap package will include one (1) swap pack per pariticipant... i.e. 8 participants on the Roster means each participant will need to send 8 individual packs, keeps my job sorting everything out real easy and gets your goodies out much quicker...everyone will get one of their own plus one from every other participating member mailed back to them, and since this is a forum for lead heads and not restricted to just "wire baits" we will count spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, inlines, jigs and etc as tradable, post what you got to trade if you don't know if it fits in, when in doubt then feel free to ask. However it is best and fair for those concerned, I am sure we can do this where everyone who wants to contribute can do so and everyone gets baits that he or she will use and enjoy.... this is going to be fun, it always is!! I am always available thru this forum, the TU Private Message feature, or thru email if needed for a swap question or anything else for our members...you guys are the greatest...but swap-specific questions would best help the other members if posted here(if possible). Personally, I don't think there is such a thing as a stupid question, if you don't ask then you might not ever know!! Remember that this is YOUR swap guys, have fun!! I wish I could participate but I have too many fires at the moment...but hosting and doing the legwork on the sorting/shipping is the next best thing since I still get to drool over all the goodies...some of our members really blow my mind away and a swap is a great way to get introduced to their work as well as flex your own creative skillz, so if you haven't ever joined a swap then this would be a good one to jump on...The roster is open, but I am going to take the liberty of putting one of the main "instigators" right up at the top of the list, LOL, can't leave you out buddy!! Celticav
I will host, no problem. TU prefers the moderators to host the swaps anyway, but thanks for the offer. Honestly I do not mind at all and am glad to help out. JIM

basskat
You can count me in. Since my boat is in the shop with a blown engine I have nothing to do but make baits and mow the yard! I'll be sending spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. I'll throw in an extra pack for Celt just for handling the swap.
siebler_custom_baits
yea thats what i was doing too.
Celticav
4/04 WIRE BAITS SWAP ROSTER 1. siebler_custom_baits 2. LedHed 3. Basskat 4. Celticav I have rearranged some stuff here and will be participating in this after all...don't wanna miss out!! Last time I was recovering from surgery and couldn't send what I wanted...this time I am gonna take a stock of what you guys send and see if I can fill any void. I can do several different spinners, buzzers, jigs...including some new eakin's styles I have been tinkering with...with my arm back working I may even tie some kinda something . Basskat: your stuff from the last swap was simply outstanding man, like me you recognize the power of that Cutting Point on these types of baits and I gotta give kudos again to you again. One of your buzzers with a milky purple silicone skirt and old lunker lure type blade went straight to the top of my buzz bag, I look forward to seeing what you send this time! Perhaps I can get you hooked on lumaflex... With fewer participants in this one I have to agree with what siebler_custom_baits suggested earlier: we should go with our quality stuff and not fret quantity. Perhaps a vote or something on a minimum value per swap pack or something...any ideas guys? JIM
siebler_custom_baits
i am aiming for around 5 baits. depends on whether or not i get a new mold. if i do then maybe more. just trying to fill my void from the last swap. I am emmbarassed by my product last time.
Celticav
me too...but I was half-crippled and heavily-medicated or maybe that was heavily-crippled and half-medicated I forget...I would have been in a real pickle if my wife had not jumped in and helped me out. I am looking forward to shining myself in this one too, JIM
Big Splash
O.K., I'm in. Ive been working on an awesome new 3" swimbait with the lead head inside. Do you think this would be a good entry? Does that even qualify, or would that be a soft bait????
Fat Ratz
Celt, I just read the post about a new swap? I would be glad to join in if you do not have enough.

Markell OUTSTANDING!! Hey Todd, glad you could join us, I am not sure about the swim baits, leave it to you to throw a hybrid-type in, LOL...I will leave that to these guys...personally I do not have a swim bait and kinda want one so my opinion doesn't count, heehee, whatever the group decides is fine with me... either way I know your gonna send something that will put a hurting on some poor fishes face. Fat Ratz, you and Markell are welcome additions to this and we are proud to have you both, we need one more and we can zip this up and get started! With this line up of talent on board now I am getting really pumped about this! The next one in will close the roster, so go ahead and throw some dates out for the deadline and when #8 joins I will start a vote for the shipping date...its all downhill from here, JIM
Markell
This should be a lot of fun. I am thinking of about a 6 week time frame for a swap of this type. I may need to place an order for some material and would like to have plenty of time to make sure the baits I send are the best they can be. But I am fine with any date. Since there are fewer involved, I like the idea of more baits per member. Boogity, Boogity, Boogity! Come on #8. (For the record, I am not a Jr. Fan) LOL
siebler_custom_baits
i think a swimbaits is fine. also did you send the jigging spoon last time? if so i wouldnt mind seeing another in a shad color. shipping. hmm lets say maybe 24th or so? thats my input. i really dont care. i could hurry or be leasurly. basskat
My vote is to let the swim-bait in. It's close enough for me. I received some of BigSplash's baits through a plastic swap and it's good stuff! I'd like to see his swim-bait.
LedHed
Swimbait has my vote. Open for any date to ship except 4/27 to 5/4 - will be fishing the Rio Savegre in Costa Rica, chasing down Rainbow bass.....
siebler_custom_baits
you can ship earlier than the date, just not later.
LedHed
No problem - just need to know what to ship.
siebler_custom_baits
im sending all jigs. stand-ups worm heads, maybe some others, just depends on if i get some more molds.
basskat
I think we should go with a dollar value insted of a number of baits. Most of my spinnerbaits cost me in the neighborhood of $2.50 to make. If I send five to each person it's going to break me.
siebler_custom_baits
i am sending 5 baits becasuse i feel guilty for sending only 1 last time.
Fat Ratz
I agree with basskat, it should be a dollar value instead of a quantity. I plan on sending a spinnerbait and one of my custom buzzbaits with all the good stuff on them. siebler custom baits, please don't feel guilty for what you sent for the last swap. I liked the jig you sent and you should be proud of it. I can assure you everyone that got one is enjoying it because we all share one common interest, the love of fishing lures! Okay, I've finished preaching.
