powerworm
there is only 1 company in USA that makes them he is in IL i believe its kayser lures or tackle. you have to have a business license and tax number to buy from him if i am thinking of the right guy. if not he charges you the 10% excise tax and sales tax. Munkin
Weedguards come in only a couple of standard sizes. If you are using 1/8 just check the usual Janns etc. for the stiff or heavy weedguards. They are about 25% stiffer than the standard guards and I only use them for flippin jigs in heavy cover. Gloomisman
Thanks guys. Yeah I'm using the stiffest one right now that pretty much every one else sells. I was just looking for something a tad stiffer.
Munkin
Did you give the stiff 5/32" ones a try? They are the stiffest ones made that I know of? Otherwise try contacting Kayser lurehttp://kayserlures.com/products.html they own the patent for weedguards and make most of them for the fishing industry. Gloomisman
I ordered another mold to modify it to hold 5/32 wg. This might cure my problem. I hope.
ravenlures
Did you ever consider cutting a plastic broom up. I tried it and it worked, although I only made a few to try.
