swedes67
Looking for some ideas for ventilation. I use part of my garage for making my baits. Looking at setting up a range hood over my bench and running it out side. Any thoughts or opinions. Thanks in advance!!

Smallie
A range hood does not begin to flow enough air. Get at least 1000 FPM.
DaBehr
I built a plywood box...to put my 300cfm range hood on....it's just slightly taller and wider than my microwave....with a space to inject. So roughly 3'x3'x3' so....9 cubic feet of air. (I recently put a plexiglass front on it...about 1/2 way down the front ....That helped a TON! So if my range hood is sucking up 300 cfm...seems to me I'm exchanging the air at approx 30x/min.... Correct???? Or not???? I vent it out the back...out a tube and under the garage door. I do need to put some kind of baffle on the side of my microwave so that that discharge air goes straight up into the hood. Anyway.... no more headaches! Plus the bright lights from the hood really are helpful!!!!
SHK
when i talked to Kajan, he recommended 100CFM per cubic foot of hood. you would need 900CFM to be effective.
