Chaos For 2011
I've noticed a few painters on eBay with this diamond shaped scaling on the lures they're repainting. I really like it but can't seem to find the material for this scale pattern. I would assume it's somewhere online since several seem to have access to it. Anyone willing to share the place that sells it?
Musky Glenn
I believe it is just some of the flexible bag material just stretched to that shape. Musky Glenn

bassnbrad
check with you local fabric store they may have some material like that Fish Whisperer is right. I have some in that pattern I got from the fabric store, for that pattern you have to get the one that stretches, not the knitted one. Some shower poof's produce that pattern also. woodenfeather
Next time your in the grocery store, go look at the onions. Some of them come in a tighter, heavier plastic mesh. A lot of times you'll see it used for the shallots and pearl onions. You'll know it when you see it.
pizza
As mentioned might be shallot packaging. Ive also seen "tubular" plastic webbing used for cherry tomatoes. You can change the "aspect ratio" of the diamond scales by stretching either. If you are foiling, the tubular cherry tomato webbing works well bc it is easy to get the aspect ratio of the scales you want by putting it around cans of different diameters(li ke rattle cans). Then put foil on can over webbing and press to get pattern in foil. Peeling off may take a trial or two to perfect.
