mossman
Hey Fellas, I have a request for a rapala 13 type lure with a "mother of pearl" finish. How can a rattle can painter accomplish this color. I found a krylon can of "pearlizing" overcoat paint and was wondering about its use. Thanks for you're help and may God bless. Richoc
I paint them alot. I strip off the finish of the Rap. Light sanding to get a bite. Tape off the diving lip. White base coats, till very, very white. Light pearl, till you get the effect. Eyes, flo. red under gill. Coat with clear of choice. I don not use a can though, but should work till the red gill. nova
If you know anybody in the automotive painting industry talk to them. They mix paint all the time. The quantities are different but the ratios are the same. You may also find out some relly neat ways of painting that you may not ever think of.
