mark poulson
I want to try and airbrush some of the soft plastic swimbaits I pour. What kind of paint/brand should I use, and who sells it? Thanks in advance.

Maurizio
I wonder why you posted a link to the vinyl paints and not these softplastic paints. http://www.lurecraft.com/catalog.cfm/plastic%2dproducts/paint%2dfor%2dplastic%2dlures Does it adheres to the plastic, like the soft plastic color does? Frank
Get the retarder It dries slower and gives you more time to work it. It still dries fast though. Frank

Frank
thats what i meant LOL. In my video I guess I said thinner and a guy sent me a message that he could not get it on the bait before it dried. Now I correct that statement and say retarder. My bad. Your link is correct. I grabbed the wrong one from my "favorites". Rick
Maurizio
No problem, Rick! For about a few seconds when i read your post (or clicked the link), i was hoping "your" 1 oz paint could fit my needs too. Because Lurecraft ships plastic paint internationally. But the cans (4 oz) are too large in diameter to fit into the small flat rate box and the next size is 45$ for shipping. Too bad!
rixon529
Way back when - someone on this forum suggested this company's product: http://semproducts.comThey offer a line of flexible coatings (page 18 - 19 of the catalog). http://semproducts.com/cms/Download+Catalog/156.htmlThey have a retail outlet in Germany: http://semproducts.c...country=GermanyDon't ask me how - I've never used it... Hope this helps. Good luck! Rick Edited October 28, 2011 by rixon529

plt
Sem works vvey well the make automotive paints that adhere to almost any kind of plastics
Maurizio
So you have experience with using SEM products, i guess. Don't you have to dip the bait to seal and fix the paint? That would be great. I am still waiting for their reply.
rico.29
to my experience, sorry in advance, lurecraft soft paint is the worst product i ever used, it's impossible to get a good conservation of this paint, it gets like a paste after a while. There must be a good paint, but it stil to be found.
