dtrs5kprs
Painted these for my 3 year old daughter's Easter basket. She spent a weekend in the basement painting with me and wanted some "Easter fishies". Apparently to a 3 year old all baits are fishies. Ended up being a lot of fun to paint. Happy Easter & God Bless.
BassNator 1
The question is on this.... Will we be "Finding Nemo" inside a Lunker Basses mouth?? I The one is so like Nemo the clown fish!... I guess you got to have kids to appreciate! I might have to give the paint job a try for my kids! Nice Job! Cody
Monty
those bait look GREAT! i hope you had as much fun as she did monty
SpoRoller
Now you can take her fishing and let her use the baits. She will be on cloud nine if she catches one! I agree, that one does look like Nemo! Add some weight to it and crank the reefs! LOL
Skeeter
Beautiful job Dave. Spending time with your child is priceless. She will remember Dad spending this time with her for the rest of her life. Trust me. My hat is off to you. Skeeter
BassNator 1
Actually, when I showed off your lures to my daughter, she laffed and said its Nemo's Dad and Dory... LOOKING for Nemo! So maybe your daughter can "FIND NEMO!!" I got a kick out of that one! Cody
dtrs5kprs
yes, that was nemo inspired (I can act it out now). I also have a "nemo's dad" in the works for her b-day in June. We have had a bunch of fun with it so far. Thanks for all the nice comments.
dtrs5kprs
Nemo "recipe" (although you might take that the wrong way) in case you want to shoot one for your kids... Createx Flo Sunburst for belly and up the sides Createx Flo Orange (brighter) for back and blending into the sides) Createx Pro-Flo white for the stripes, opaque black for the stripes. Createx Chameleon Gold (hi-lite) scale on back and sides before clearcoat
lurecarver23
Did you hand paint those eyes because they look perfect. Awesome job. Also how did you paint the stripes that circle the body? Thanks

dtrs5kprs
Eyes are dotted in my usual manner. Stripes and spots were painted freehand (not my forte).
Art Brush
Those are awesome Dave. Good job with the freehand work. Nothing beats father daughter time like that. Tight lines, Shawn
