Storage Of Silicone Tabs And Skirt Material

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

Wondering how everyone is organizing their silicone tabs and skirt tying materials? I have all these packs in a box and find its a mess and hard to keep track of all the different paterns and colors.

I think there is too many to keep in a plano type box, that was my first idea. I would like to keep them organized by colour and not have them all mixed.

thanks,

C

i keep mine in a organizer that i got at Meijers. I think they sell them at walmart also. Made by a company named stack on i believe. They sell it in a few different configurations. I have 3 different ones two of them are the same they have 30 little slide out see through compartments that are about 1 1/2 x 6 inches. Tabs fit in there perfectly. I write the number of the tab on the front with a sharpie. The other one is the size of two of these stacked together. The top has 30 compartments the same as the other ones , but the bottom has 9 compartments that are about 4 inches wide by 6 inches deep by about 2 inches tall. These are great for storing your tools, completed jigs etc. As i recall the smaller ones were around $20.00 and the bigger one i don't remember the cost but i got it at Home Depot. Hope this helps.

I use zip lock bags to put the tabs in and label them with were I got them from and the sku or catalog number, this way when I run out I know exactly were to go and what to get to restock. I keep the bags in 2 small rubbermaid bins and the bins are labeled with the colors that are in them and right now I have 87 different color tabs, some are actually the same color from different suppliers but they are different shades like green pumpkin, get green pumpkin from 3 different suppliers and more than likely you'll end up with 3 different shades of the same color.
