dsmblack
Ok Ive decided I'm gonna buy a Complete system from Bear. My question may seem like a stupid one, but do you guys heat the plastic first in the microwave then pour it in the pot or just pour it in the pot cold add colorants, glitter etc and let the Presto Pot heat it. I so, how long does it take to heat. I know I will vary by amount of plastic.
powerworm
we have 5 original pots with stirrers and they take about 12-16 minutes to heat up which gives you time to get everything ready to go. BTW thats heating a gallon of plastic to

gone2long
Yep I agree with pw the amount of time is peanuts see no reason to be in that much of a hurry as stated gives time to set up the only thing I do diff is I wait til just about ready to pour then add the flake as some don't like the heat to long. Richard Prager
I always heated in the pot. I only did smaller amounts like 1-2 cups and added ingredients as it started the gel stage. Spraying a little Pam on a towel and wipe down the blades before using makes for easy clean up. The system works great and can easily do a small batch of sticks with just 1 cup of plastic and every stick will come out uniform with little or no waste. dsmblack
Well I just bought it. I figure by the time I have to heat and reheat in the micro it will be much faster. Plus the ability to make larger batches than I currently do and it keeps it mixed I had to do it. I can't wait to try it. Thanks guys. Please keep the post's coming with any tips and suggestions.
