Soft Plastic Cookbook

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

Hope all is well.

Can anyone help me with Gary Yamamoto's plum emerald and plum apple's recipe.

Has anyone got hold of the new GYCB senko mold from Do-It yet, how is it looking?

These are also plum base colors, which is a mixture of strawberry red and purple

Not sure of the glitter though.  Too hard to tell by the pics.........

LC makes a Lumina copper power. This is the color for the top. Very strong stuff In 6 oz. I use 5 small flat tip pocket screw driver. Sorry about don't a anything else that small.to measure it. small copper flake and med. Black flake. Watch the power must be added to cold plastic and mixed real well. Bottom 3 drops LC white, two measures of Pearl white power LC also 6 oz.( makes a great fish belly white color) Med black flake. BTW saltwater fish love copper and black flake.

Anybody have a recipe for Yamamoto's Champaign? It looks like a transparent pumpkin seed with some flake?

Whenever I struggled with a light pumpkinseed, I always went back to MF's Transparent Brown and it solved the problem every time.  In looking at this version of Zoom's Champagne in a grub......

.....I'd be willing to bet MF's would nail it with small red, green, and black flake.

Looks almost like a Christmas color, but replacing light watermelon with TR Brown.

Hope this helps.  :)

Alright everyone, here are my two recipes that are nearly identical matches to Zoom's Scuppernong and Watermelon red.

Scuppernong

1 cup of plastic

30 drops scuppernong (Lureworks)

4 drops cherry red (Lureworks)

4 drops black (Lurecraft)

Those aren't bubbles in the plastic they're actually rain drops haha.

Watermelon

1/2 cup plastic

3 drops Green Pumpkin (Lurecraft)

1 drop watermelon (Lurecraft)

1 drop Natural (Lurecraft)

4 drops Lime green (Lurecraft)

Sorry for the poor quality of the pictures, only camera I have right now is my phone but the colors look great.  The amounts are also linear, so for instance the scuppernong recipe for a 1/2 cup would be 15 drops, 2 drops, 2 drops.

Hi I just joined this forum! I'm pretty excited because I love making my own soft plastics and matching colors to professional companies. I noticed your post, and I was interested in the creature and craw baits. Did you make your own mold? And if so, what baits did you use? If not, where can I find the molds? Thanks! I can't wait to try these colors. -Adkfishing11
