BobP
Maybe, but my favorite source for all kinds of wire is McMaster-Carr online (mcmaster.com). I think it's called "music wire".
EdL
Check out an Ace Hardware if you're looking for ASAP. You didn't say what you wanted it for or what size. Ask the hardware guys there, tell them the properites your looking for and maybe they can help.
Juice780
I think fastenal sells piano wire so if u have one close u can try that. If u are trying to make Alabama rigs you don't have to use piano wire ss wire works just as good.

blazt*
also try Harbor Freight if there is one near you. I got a big spool of .041dia. stainless wire for 5 bucks. Where did you find that? Must have been on sale....I have a HF and I was there yesterday. Looked around a little, mostly in welding but I didn't see anything that cheap. Juice780
You can get ss wire from mcmaster-Carr for $6 something, that for a 1 pound roll, that's where I get mine from
Sonny.Barile
If your building the Alabama rig you do not want the spooled wire from Harbor Freight as it is too soft for that application. Try the harder stuff that comes in 1 foot straight lengths as it will spring back when flexed. You can get a package of 100 for about $10 From McMaster-Carr. Juice780
yeah i used the spooled wire for my crankbaits i just assumed he was doing alabama rigs since he was asking about piano wire and i think thats what the orginal uses, but your right you cant use spooled wire for that. Sonny.Barile
Same here. Just cranks and stuff that doesnt need a big loop. It isnt real shiny and epoxy sticks to it better than the chrome looking stuff. I wouldnt use it on a Stretch 25 LOL
