woodieb8 Posted December 10, 2011 Report Share Posted December 10, 2011 hi guys. being a wood guy,i found some plastic wood boards from a bench at homies depot. i cut and drilled a couple bodys. it floats and seems very tuff. its accepted a wh/lacquer primer well. my question is anyone have good or bad experiences. . no pics yet i am an invalid at posting pics.. thanks in advance. RiverMan Posted December 11, 2011 Report Share Posted December 11, 2011 I'm surprised it floated for you George, stuff I have tried in the past sank like a rock! Nice thing about it is if you can get it in white you don't need to seal it or prime it.............that's a big time saver and it's overall tougher and more consistent than wood. gordon Posted December 12, 2011 Report Share Posted December 12, 2011 (edited) I think the sinking stuff is the Outdoor board used for decks in the yard, I have not used that yet. I have used the white PVC board most commonly used for baseboards and trim - floats like a cork., good stuff to work with, beats working with wood for me. And their trim board is even more buoyant, almost like balsa, but still strong enough for jointed swimbaits, and great for cranks and topwaters.
