FuzzyGrub Posted December 24, 2011 Report Share Posted December 24, 2011 I own a BT 3oz injector and just received a used 6 oz one. I was surprised to find the nozzles will not interchange. They only sell one nozzle on the website, so thought they were universal. While the outer diameter looks the same, the tube on the 3oz looks to be thicker. The 6 oz nozzle will not fit inside the 3oz. The 3oz nozzle is loose in the 6oz, and bayonet pin doesn't line up with the grove. If I haven't got an answer, I'll contact Kevin after the holidays. Certainly would discuss before buying a seperate nozzle for the 3oz. Frank Posted December 25, 2011 Report Share Posted December 25, 2011 This was a change to better accomidate the lock pin slot in the tube. They now machine out the beginning of the tube so the oring will not hang up on the slot. It also help out with the inconsistant ID of the tube. I have some of the original ones mixed with the new ones and have never had issues with either one. If you need another one for your older injector just let then know and they can make them to the old spec. The bigger one is the newer one by the way. They are constantly working on new things with there injectors, so when a good idea come up they go with it. Kevins Dad is the injector guy there, he makes them and refines them.
