MonteSS
Ya, they have lots of Paca craw imitations, but never seen a Rage type. ....Bill
tigerfire
I've done a lot of looking also. I haven't seen one yet.
Richard Prager
My bad.......my eyes saw Rage but my mind thought Paca.
Goober
My buddy has this one and it is really close to the rage chunk but haven't seen any rage craw look-a-likes. http://www.basstackle.com/product_p/3crawtrailer2cavity.htm
MonteSS
Thanks Goober, but once again that is a Paca style mold. The Rage stuff has the same Patent on all of their tail designs. They threaten to sue anyone who tries selling a copy of it. May have found a place with the mold, but baits would have to be "for personal use only". ....Bill Edited January 6, 2012 by MonteSS
Richard Prager
That "for personal use" or "only needs a 10% change" are both myths. The trademark appplies no matter how the mold/baits are used. There are almost as many threads on it as there are for salt!
FuzzyGrub
Pardon my ignorance, I don't have any "rage" baits, but the "rage" craw feature you are talking about is the edge of the pinchers that cause them to undulate in the water? If so, BT's early version of that mold does have that edge. From the picture in that link, bt has changed the pinchers since last year. That is correct; those are common myths. My partners and I have a patent and a trademark on a product in an unrelated field. Defending those is an expensive proposition. What I have learned is that one has to choose which battles to fight. It is not legal to 73 in a 70 mph zone but chances are good that you won't have a problem. Going 95 in a 70 may cause all sorts of trouble.

You either have integrity or you don't.
