Pre-hooked Hand Poured Swimbait Help

I have been toying with a handpoured pre-rigged/weighted swimbait idea for a while, but cannot get it right. I took a piece of wire, my preferred hook, and set the hook up how I wanted it in my mold, then used the wire to suspend it so that the hookpoint and line tie is out of the swimbait. I thought it would work great, but then the hook just wants to slide right out of the lures. Any tips/ideas on how to do this? Thanks

Maybe a piece of plastic tubing over the shaft of the hook?

Another old trick could be to tie a pc. of aquarium plastic fiber "wool" over the hook shaft, it's usually used as mechanic filter, so it's water resistant and resist to hot plastisol temperature, too (already tried).

Thanks for the advice guys, but I don't think I explained my problem enough. I am trying to create a swimbait like say huddleston, storm, and other companies have. It is already rigged, with a weight insert inside the lure. My problem is, the hook just wants to slide out the holes of the lure. It's almost like I need something to hold my hook in place. Any tips?

Try a bit of super glue and see if that works. Not sure how long it will work but will help. Frank

maybe your plastic is to hard or soft how does it feel compared to the ones you purchased?

Just curious, did you grind out a notch in the aluminum mold for the hook eye and point end?
