Painter1
I am wondering how much difference there is between the different companies pigments. I bought a bunch of Caney Creek colors and got some recipes from ultimate bass. I am wondering 6 drops of Green Pumpkin, for instance, is the same for LC, MF and CC. Most of the recipes do not say whose color was used so I am hoping they are at least close. This a great site and I have learned a bunch from you guys. Thank you
SHK
each of those companies buy the raw pigments and reduce them with DINP themselves. unless they are all using the same DINP - pigment ratio (they arent) they wont be the same
alsworms
Exactly. Some are similar, but most are very different. Name the color. I'm sure we all have our own opinions on it.
Frank
By all means they are differant. If you get a recipe from me it includes a manufacturer along with the color. I can use black for instance in my opinion MF black is half as strong as Lure craft. That being said I have both and if I want a smoke color I use the MF, it being weaker makes a smoke that looks better to Me. Lure crafts white is strong but when I got some Spikeits white it was stronger and whiter. I probably have at least six green pumkins all have there place. I have a watermelon from Lurecraft that is so strong make you wonder if the formula is right. There are so many it is hard to remember them all.Frank
