texasbass1
Nope I didn't. I guess I should pay closer attention to the time line. OH, I'm sure it's still true.
Bass1cpr
Stick~em. I've been pouring since 93 and I remelt a lot of the plastic baits I buy. I always add a little fresh plastisol to the remelts. Some off brands of plastics that people have given me come out a little tacky. These were bulk type plastics. V&M also come out tacky I figure this is because of the pork fat in the V&M. Mostly I reuse Berkley and Zoom. The colors will change a little with some of the remelts but they still work. When i remelt Zoom stuff there is always a little salt left in the bottom of the pot. I'll add a little glitter as some of it will also settle out even with stirring. The baits are pleanty soft and seldom need addditional softner. I use two lure craft mixes of plastisol 502 and 536 and MF pastisol which to me is softer than the lure craft. I don't retail my baits but I do have quite a few folks that I pour stuff for. They are all happy with the baits I make. Laminate colors are the only ones that can't be remelted unless you want some really unique colors. LOL Solid colors are the easiest to reuse. I know for a fact that some large companys do use regrinds of solid colors from reject quality production runs.
