A-Mac
Just something I happened to think about today, while mischievously melting failed lures with acetone... hahaha! (last laugh is mine crankbait!) anyway, has anyone ever tried to dissolve pvc with acetone? I wouldn't be surprised if it made for a good sealer... and its already white! BobP
Some guys have dissolved plastic cups, styrofoam and other plastics in acetone to use as a sealer but discussion here on the site mentioned there can be a problem with the coat cracking while it dried. I haven't seen much about it lately and don't know if anyone still uses that method.
Sonny.Barile
Im not sure if you want to be breathing up that gasses released from the pvc as it breaks down. I know you arent supposed to let it heat up to much when machining because that will kill you instantly. (so Im told)
