Big Bass Man Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 There is a bunch of different clearcoats that can be used. I think most use some kind of 2 part slow cure epoxy. The epoxy can be brushed on and then placed on the turning wheel for the clear to dry evenly. BobP Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 3 popular topcoat options: a slow cure 30 minute epoxy, moisture cured urethane, and a two part auto clearcoat. Each has advantages/disadvantages but all of them work well. Do a search on each to get many many posts discussing their finer points. So the same for lure turners.
