piratefishing Posted January 16, 2012 Report Share Posted January 16, 2012 What is the best thing to do with all the powder paint misruns? Just remelt the heads and do it again? Any way to easily remove the powder paint? I was told gasket remover works and currently trying that but it is not going so well. However, I have a question - after using paint remover, should I wash the jigs with anything before I re-coat the jig? It seems almost like there is a residue on the jig that probably should be removed. I was thinking of washing with dishwashing liquid and a brush. After the paint is stripped off, I use "Dawn" dishwashing liquid and use a brush on the jigs. I use Dawn because it cuts through grease better than anything else I've used. I then dry the jigs with a towel and put in a toaster oven on 350 degrees fo r20 minutes to get all of the water out. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
