benton B
I need some direction and help on adding a line tie to a lexan lip. The baits I've been working on are made out of balsa but are not thru wire construction. Any hints on the subject, thanks.
Skeeter
The best way is to find some micro drill bits the size of your wire. But if you can't do that....... Bend your wire in a U shape around a small finishing nail. Mark on the lexan where you wan the line tie to be. Heat the ends of the wire with a candle and place the ends where you marked the lexan. Once the wire melts its way into the lexan then heat the wire in the center and just apply LIGHT pressure untill it pops through. Bend the ends of the wire back to the end of the lip and insert the lip with epoxy. Skeeter
benton B
Thanks for the help Skeeter, by the way your baits look top of the line. If I do not figure these baits out soon, I may be asking you for an order form. If you need some business. Thanks again.
Skeeter
Thanks for the compliment and ask anytime. The baits that are posted on the board are two years old. There has been alot of improvement since those pictures were taken. If you have any questions about them or about anything else in making your baits just ask. That is what we are here for.
