squigster
Sounds like a possible venting problem if the plastic is missing from the tail or you're shooting it too fast or pushing too hard if you're injecting it. Just my guesses.
carolinamike
bassman, get you some EZ Flo plastisol from Lureworks and like squigster said slow down, give the air time to work out of the cavity as you're pushing. Not that I know anything about the Tornados.

bassman2169
Squigster and Carolinamike, the speed may be the problem. This is my first time with this injection style and I figured faster was better. I'll slow down and see if that helps. I don't think the venting is the problem. I'm also pushing pretty hard (thinking that would force the air out), so I'll ease back on that too. Thank you for the help.
carolinamike
bassman, I know it kind of don't make sense to you. What's happening is you're actually encapsulating air. Faster is better, but remember in this style of bait it's not just filling the body but also all of those little rings. So it just takes a minute longer on this type of mold. Also the design on this mold also makes it a heat sink, in other words, this bait will cool more rapidly than a straight worm. So if you're pushing real fast the plastic just kind of wraps around the air bubble. I had this same problem with the big molds when I first started the Tornados. I was just rushing things too much. You're wanting the plastic to displace the air.
bassman2169
Right on the money. Slowed down and they turned out perfect. Thank you.
R Glover
Be sure & fill the spru with a little xtra plastic after shooting. Seems like those big molds will suck a little more down after you shoot them. I save the few with air pockets to fish with myself. they work great Wacky rigged.
