ProP-JunKie
Ok so I used salt for the first time. It is pickling salt. It seemed the minute I poured the plastic the salt settled to the bottom of the measuring cup. Do I just need more constant stirring, is there an optimal temperature for pouring salted plastic? Any help. Oh I was using 1/2 cup of plastic and about 3 tsp of salt. Thanks. I hand poured 3 lures. first one sinks a little and the next 2 floated like Styrofoam. Tanks for the help. -Dayv

Richard Prager
and then stir some more! every two sticks and remember the hotter the plastic the thinner it will be which enables the salt to sink faster. The salt is fine right out of the box assuming that you are using Mortons. Some people grind the salt which allows the salt to suspend better but you give up the transparency
