You have been a big help to me just getting started in the hobby. I want to thank Cadman,smalljaw,Mark Poulson and all the others that helped me just by answers to my post and questions. Now you can visit and ask questions all you want but the most important thing is that you can now help someone else that comes here and is just starting out like yourself and give those people the advise that you were given, that is how the site works. Good luck in your lure creations and continue to check back, you may learn something new or you may be able to help another lure creator, but don't be a stranger!! I will pass on what I have learned you can count on that. cadman Posted February 7, 2012 Report Share Posted February 7, 2012 Norman, I'm going to second what smalljaw said. It's nice to hear from guys that have learned something we all have contributed to. I never look for praise as most of the guys don't either. We do this to help those wanting to learn. At some point in our tacklemaking years we all learned from someone and others. I just like to pass along what I know. No secrets to any of this. It's all about trying something, keeping at it and a lot of trial and error and mostly hours of practice. Eventually if you are persistant everything will come full circle. Also glad you caught some fish with your new creations. I have learned more in a couple of months reading than in 10+ years of making lures on my own. I don't post a lot but have used the search function extensively. I'm in totally different time zone so I log in every morning to see what happened during the night and the give a last check before going to bed. I'm addicted to both luremaking and TU.
