mark poulson
I found the color on the Strike King site, but it looks almost black to me. I must be missing something, or just blind. Edited February 9, 2012 by mark poulson

MonteSS
Good pic Tough to judge color from a tube though. ....Bill Edited February 9, 2012 by MonteSS
Fulldraw84
I seen kvd using it on the bass pros dvd I have. He was using the tube on the show, it looks light blue green to me. gold and silver glitter. I didn't notice the black flake the first time. Thanks for posting the pic. I'm assuming the color choice I tried isnt going to get me much closer but will have to do since I don't have many colors. I will be putting in another order soon so any color advice for this one would be great.
SHK
the problem with trying to match a colour from a picture you see on the computer or what you see on your TV is the monitor will not display it properly. the best thing to do in this situation is go buy a bag of them and have it in front of you to match it, it will be much easier. loodkop
I agree with SHK. I only buy soft plastics to try and work out the colors. It is much easier to come up with a formula if you have a sample in hand. Pictures can be misleading. I was shocked to see bait photos I sent to my. brother on his PC. It looked plain wrong. SHK
i have seen 3 different pics of this bait and they all looked like different colours
Fulldraw84
Next time I make a trip to Gander mountain I'm definetly going to get a bag of the tubes. I don't make my own tubes yet and would love to try these on lake mill lacs for some smallmouth! Thanks for the replys guys!
mark poulson
I find adding the flake first helps me get closer when I'm adding color, because the flake alters the color of the plastic, at least for me.
Fulldraw84
I got to gander mountain today and they had one bag of the kvd kick tubes left. After getting home and washing the salt off the color looks gren with a blue hint in it. If I had to name it it would be sea water green. On my next order I'm going to have to buy quit a few colors I think and then just go to work on figuring it out. It does look like a great color for my neck of the woods. DanW
Like others have said, It's tough to duplicate from a picture shown. I would say light watermelon, with a little marine blue, .o40 black, and string gold. When I duplicate, I want a bait in hand, cut it in half and pull all the glitters out. You could make it a better color with a touch of blue hilite, in my opinion. You need to remember, the big companies don't get real complicated with their formulas. It's usually pretty basic, no more than three pigments will get you close.
