Wire Shaft Size Info Needed.

Recommended Posts

I was recently contacted about building a bait for a salt water species that ive never heard of. This bait will neeed to be built upon a sixteen inch long stainless wire shaft. Im not to familiar with the heavier guages of wire in relation to what diameter of wire will work best with what bait size. So i need some wire samples to play with and figure what works best.

I was wondering if anybody here would be able to provide samples of a 16 inch long stainless wire shaft in the following sizes:

(01) .045 - Two wire shafts.

(02) .051 - Two wire shafts.

(03) .060 - Two wire shafts.

I will pay postage. I probably wont be building a lot of them for the time being but if someone has these sizes on hand and dont care to help me out then when time comes that i need more shafts i will purchase them from the person who can provide the three size samples as i have listed above.

Did you even look at the site you linked to?They don't carry wire.A better site, albeit and bit expensive would be smallparts.com

My bad, I bought material there for hinge pins. It was 3/32nds. I just assumed they had wire as well.
