dchance
Does anybody use anything other than fiber weedguards? I have a couple jigs that are no names homemade that have color matching plastic type material (one "pin") as the weedguard epoxied in. what are other options? Jig Man
I use vinyl coated steel leader in 90#. It is called Sevalon or Surflon depending on where I get it.
dchance
what kind of diameter does that have? I am looking for use on bass jigs. probably not quite a typical 1/8 hole but not like a wire guard either.
dchance
Like trimmer line, but colored, like brown and black etc.
smalljaw
The plastic "Y" weedguards used to be poplular and I've tried, they did reduce hang ups but also hook ups too. I believe Lure craft now makes them.
Jig Man
what kind of diameter does that have? I am looking for use on bass jigs. probably not quite a typical 1/8 hole but not like a wire guard either. I don't know the diameter but it comes in lots of different # tests. Janns or Barlows may list the diameter of theres. I have the guys at Bass Pro order it in for me. I use it in tube inserts from 1/8 to 3/8 oz and in my 1/8 oz poison tail jigs.
