banjoman
I made some strong clamps for holding baits while topcoating them in my "merry-go-lure" (see photo). I found some old springs and cut them in half. I drilled 1/16 inch holes through 3/8 inch diameter dowels and pinned them into one end of the spring with finishing nails or paper clips. Then I bent the other end of the spring open and inserted the metal eye of my bait. I topcoated 5 baits on Saturday using my new clamps. They worked well. Markell
I'm gonna give this a try. Thanks for the tip.
dtrs5kprs
looks like that might be a real winner for spooks, traps, and other "hard to clamp" baits. thanks for sharing your info.
