CncDude
Not that I can find. There are 100 fluke style and a few bigger swim fluke molds but no jr size that I can find. But maybe I just not looking in right place. ????
CncDude
just to be clear...the mold I am looking for is a 4" paddle tail...not a reg fluke or fluke jr... So it needs a standard swimbait paddle. thanks!
CncDude
Bob... Been doing that...and cannot find anything close at all. Most of the swimbaits (paddletails) in that size range are too fat in the body. The Swim Fluke Jr has exactly the length and tail construction that gives the best action without resorting to plastic that is too soft. So I guess what I am trying to find is something in the 4" or less, that has a body shape that is roughly the same size as the SF Jr and has a thin body in front of the tail (best action!). I guess I can RTV one but am really looking for something in AL that I can do shoot. Thanks for any guidance!
Painter1
Those paddle tail Junior Flukes are getting pounded by nice LMB at all the Ozarks lakes when fished on an Alabama Rig. That is why they are so scarce. We only found a few bags of them when in San Antonio Bass Pro and we bought all they had. Guys are paying a sizable premium for them now. I was also not able to find anything that really is close to that bait. I guess I need to learn how to make molds.
joshimotoson
I have had the same luck with the "skinnier" body type swim baits in the spring. I would look for a swim senko type bait. Even if they are five or six inches long you can always cut them down to the length you want. Just a suggestion. Josh
Basseducer
Is this close to what you are looking for? I can't pour these things fast enough. http://www.basstackle.com/product_p/4swimbait.htm
CncDude
TJ... That is a start and closer than what I have found. I did order one of those to try. What plastic are you using on these? Thanks! Roy I have had the same luck with the "skinnier" body type swim baits in the spring. I would look for a swim senko type bait. MonteSS
I dont think you are going to get much closer than that. Probably popular with a A-rig. Not cheap though. ...Bill
CncDude
I dont think you are going to get much closer than that. Probably popular with a A-rig. Not cheap though. ...Bill Exactly why we need it. We make a bladed A-Rig bait (called the Posse) which has exploded and we literally can't build them fast enough. Most common complaint we hear is that no one can find the sb to go with it...so... I know it is a short-medium term bubble but the demand is like nothing seen in years...so what can you do? Frank
If something close is what you will go for Kevin has made these just for the Arig craze. http://www.basstackle.com/634_Swimbait_p/634-1-2.htm http://www.basstackle.com/632_Swimbait_p/632-1-8.htm http://www.basstackle.com/636_Ring_Swimbait_p/636-1-4.htm http://www.basstackle.com/635_Swimbait_p/635-1-1.htm Most are available with hook slots if you want to fish them weedless with weighted swim bait hooks. Plenty out there that are close. And with these they are available with large cavity versions to save time. I sillt cant keep up either but I can get closer faster now. Basseducer
Roy, I use Calhoun Soft and it works very well. The A-Rig is what we make them for mostly. We sell it in a kit with a complete rig and three swimbaits. Then we have six packs of swimbaits seperate.

Might try the Calhoun on the next batch. thanks for the tip!
Painter1
I injected some "Ripper Worms" in a mold from BT today and really like the look of them. Anyone have a suggestion/favorite hand pour 4" paddle tail that is close to the 4" swimming Fluke?
Musky Glenn
I use the Swimming Fluke Jr. and the Storm paddle tail, what ever it is called. I like the Jr. best, in white. Musky Glenn

TrophyFishR
just to be clear...the mold I am looking for is a 4" paddle tail...not a reg fluke or fluke jr... So it needs a standard swimbait paddle. thanks! Im hunting for the similar type mold, no luck. I just started pouring, but Im willing to make my own mold if necessary. I don't even throw an A-rig. My game is river smallmouth and that smaller size is more efficient with smaller jaws.
