Goober
Hey guys, I am trying to find what jighead everyone is using for there swimbaits. I was looking at getting the ultra minnow mold but wasn't sure if that would be best. I read somewhere that a guy was using his poison tail jig heads for this. What other jig heads are ya'lll using. I might be getting another mold soon. I love pouring and making my own jigs. Can't wait to get on the water and try them out.
cadman
Hands down. Snootie jig. It has a lot of sizes and can be used for everything, along with the fact you can put on a lot of different style hooks on there. My second choice would be Poison Tail or Grass Jig. smalljaw
Hands down. Snootie jig. It has a lot of sizes and can be used for everything, along with the fact you can put on a lot of different style hooks on there. My second choice would be Poison Tail or Grass Jig. My good friend cadman has beat me to the punch, I was going to tell you the same thing but I would go with the Snootie myself. I never even thought about it until a friend told me that they would probably work and so I tried it and it was like it was made for it. I like the 3/8oz Snootie with a 4/0 hook, that is perfect for a hollow body swimbait but you do need a drop of superglue to hold it on securely. softworm
I am using a banan head. I like it because you can use both 60 & 90 deg. hooks. I've modified mine,,don't have a collar on them any longer. I use wire for a keeper on them. Works great, especially with the L111 wide gap Eagle Claws. Musky Glenn
I have been using plain 1/8 oz. round head jigs on my A rigs. They really seem to shake the body of the swim bait better. Just my two cents. Musky Glenn
