Crymdawg
Last night I was powder painting some jig heads and kept on getting real fine "hairs" forming as well as occassional clumps on the bottom of the jig head. What causes this and how can I prevent the issue. I use a fluid bed with the dust mite pillow cover as the filter at bottom of cup.
Jig Man
My best guess is your heads are too hot and melting too much powder when you dip them. I like them just hot enough for the powder to stick and be dull. Then I bake them in my toaster oven and they get hard and shiny.
